Mt Lyell - Looking back accross the col at Mt MacClure. On the ascent, I made the mistake of getting to the tip of the spire in the foreground as we were making our way up to the col. From the side I ascended from, I couldn't tell that it was so precarious and Mike, who had prudently decided to take a less direct route, tipped me off not to get any higher. There was still enough snow on all the ledges that just getting down was tricky.
